At the Memorial on Platform 17, a place where the memory of the Holocaust is honored, stands a special project known as the Book Box. Here, books are available for all to sit and read, offering a unique way to connect with the past and learn about this tragedy. On the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, I had the privilege of meeting Irena, the caretaker of the Book Box, and Tal, an Israeli singer who helps her in her efforts. Seeing them at work sparked reflection on the importance of preserving the memory of the Holocaust and ensuring that its lessons are never forgotten.
