#selbstgebautemusik is a Berlin based artist group that is doing something uniq and important. The core of their activity is creating DIY musical instruments and music installations from recycled materials. Their instruments are simple and smart. For me, the most interesting thing about them, is that when you build them, and play them (and with them) - You understand the basics of music in a very hand on simple and precise way. In this episode I met Hajo, one of the artists of “selbst gebaute music”. He showed me some of their cool instruments and then took me to hear the sound of Berlin. In particular, one of the ugliest buildings i know in this city - Gesundbrunnen center. It turned out that this ugly place is a musical phenomena. If you want to see creative berlin at its best - this film is a good place to start.
