The idea of the "Bückathon" is pretty simple. One kilometer separates the start and finish line. The track is a normal street and all the trash that is found on this track must be hand cleaned preferably by squatting. On this year the "Bückathon" took place in 42 different places in Germany. They all started on the same time and together cleaned exactly 42 kilometer on our planet. It was a massive #cleanup led by the #stinknormalesuperhelden -The all-day superheroes. I had joined the volunteers cleaning in Berlin. There were the #litterpicking "litter pickers" with Anna Wasilewski, a good one that you already know. with them were neighbors and people who want to see their neighborhoods clean. The people on the street that we were in, had already lost their hope. They told us that what we were doing makes no sense. That we don't have to clean after someone else and that no matter what we do tomorrow the the trash will be here again. This was the most interesting part of the day because what the all-day superheroes and all the organizations that joined them did on that day, is create a public discussion. Their presence showed that they care. Their action moved the people on the street in a way that is a lot more positive than just to keep on complaining.
